When is a good time to list my home? Now!

It was recently Groundhog’s day and our old buddy Punxsutawney Phil has once again seen his shadow and we are stuck in the doom and gloom of winter for another 6 weeks. The National Weather Service says that tonight they are issuing a warning for our area as a flash freeze is imminent with temperatures plunging into the teens over slushy and wet roads. This will be a dangerous night to be out and about.

Lest you think that because good old Phil saw his shadow and now is not a good time to sell, I’m here to tell you that the spring market started in January. It is now February and if you are thinking of selling, you need to get your home ready and on the market in the next few weeks or risk being the bridesmaid and not the bride! In my experience, home buyers start to casually look once football season winds down, thinking they will start to look in earnest in the spring. What happens is that they fall in love with something and buy. If your home is not on the market when these folks start to casually look, you might miss out.

If you are thinking of a move, I’d love to help you.
