Where to Park in West Chester, PA

Sign entering West Chester on Miner Street, East Bradford

I love downtown West Chester!  In the past, to encourage folks to frequent the great restaurants in town, parking was free.  Not anymore.  West Chester has gotten so popular that encouragement isn’t needed and you will now have to feed the meter or park in a lot when you visit.

Welcome to West Chester

I came across a great video that explains parking in West Chester.  You can watch it here.

Here are some tips:  On-street parking meters have been changed to allow you to park up to three hours. At the same time, there are new hours of enforcement posted on affected meters:
  • 8am to 10pm, Monday through Friday.
  • FREE on Saturday until 5pm. Saturday evening enforcement from 5pm to 10pm.
  • FREE on Sunday except during major events which have a $5 flat fee.
Your best option for parking in downtown West Chester are the centrally located municipal parking garages.    Here’s a link to all the parking garages in West Chester.
